I went to the Southside Community Land Trust’s plant sale last weekend and got some annual plants -- Sunflowers, Zinnia, Celosia. I think the event was successful and I even signed up to be a member.
I have several new plants -- a few perenniala (Delphinium, Verbascam; Shasta Daisy, Poppy Mallow ) and some annuals (Petunia, Ageratum, Torenia, Million bells, New Guinea Impatiens, Lantana ) which should be in the ground by the weekend.
After searching for old pictures to illustrate where I planted different flowers, here are some that I found. The digital images only went back to 2002. I hope they give some notion of what my front and back garden looked like. Please keep in mind that the garden scenes are constantly changing with different flowers and different stages of blooming. The garden becomes fuller and more colorful as the spring days progress into summer.
In some photos, the labels refer to what's coming along, plants that will take over when the tulips are no longer prominent.

Happy Planting.
Really gorgeous. A lot of work... I was wondering if you had mostly well mulched perennials, so after awhile you could bask in glory except for some fertilizing :-)
