Ecclesiastes 3:1
Perhaps, it's the majestic scenery of trees turning into colorful shades of yellow, gold, orange, red and brown; the blue skies; the cool, crisp weather ; and a welcoming change from the heat and humidity. We, who live in New England tend to take the beauty of Autumn for granted. Years ago when I used to take almost a yearly trip to the Mohawk Trail, I met people who came from all corners of the world just to see the New England foliage. Winter, spring, summer and fall, yes, I love them all. I was brought up in part of the world that did not have autumn. We only had 3 seasons : rainy season, cool season and hot season in Southeast Asia. The first time my husband accompanied me to Thailand in 1965, he said there are 2 kinds of climate in Bangkok : hot and hotter. I too fall in love with the fall season and all its beauty. I no longer travel to North Adams in Massachusetts. My foliage trips are closer to home, namely Roger Williams Park, the Swan Point Cemetary and the boat trip along the Blackstone River.
The color of autumn leaves appear particularly pretty this year as compared to the past few years. I will look forward to the white snow; then the bright, cheerful, multi-colors and the sense of the renewal of spring, to be followed by the delight of summer.

" The pictures are beautiful and capture the essence of all the seasons...For myself, I tolerate late fall and winter and look forward to the beauty that Spring captures. I find the warmth and foliage much more appealing at that time of year.
And, for whatever reason, Summer remains my favorite...a season that represents life and freedom...Yes, the colors of fall are pretty, and to me they symbolize an ending and not a beginning (like Spring)...
